8 Weeks Already????

Kyndall had her 2 month well baby check on Friday. TWO MONTHS! Seriously, where has the time gone??? She's met and/or exceeded all developmental milestones...yeah! Her official stats were:

weight = 9lbs 15oz (50%ile)
length = 22in (60%ile)
head circumference = 38cm (50%ile)

These pics were all taken this morning. (with the exception of the first one) She's typically all smiles in the morning, but clearly she wasn't in the mood for the paparazzi today...lol. I'll try to get some smile pics up soon. ;-)

Good Morning!

Kyndall is most expressive in the morning. I can't believe how quickly she's growing...it's so amazing to watch her do new things each and every day. Here's a clip of what I get to look forward to every morning. It's so worth waking up at 6am to see her little face. :) (And for those of you who know me well, know that's not an easy task!)

Home Sweet Home....

Kyndall and I are finally home, and it feels SO good! It's so sweet watching Ramiro with her...he's a natural...so nurturing. She was 6 weeks yesterday, and I can't believe how quickly time is passing. She's constantly changing and doing new things everyday. She's starting to spontaneously smile, and we LOVE her little smile...melts your heart. Here are a few pics from the last few weeks...

Ramiro's Dad and Maria saw Kyndall while we were in OKC.

We stopped in Sullivan, Missouri on our way to Indiana for a diaper change and feeding. Aunt B was able to meet us for a bite to eat. :)

Uncle Rob was responsible for our welcome into Indiana...so sweet. :)

Grandpa seeing Kyndall for the first time. He's so in love with "his baby". ;-)

Uncle Rob singing the "ABCs" to Kyndall...this put her to sleep every time.

Kyndall with Grandpa, Grandma, and cousins.

First day in Italy with Daddy.

Six weeks...my Little Tooter Bug. ;-)

Kyndall's Room :)

So we've been working on Kyndall's nursery, and I think we're just about there. We ordered the crib, changing table, and dresser (not pictured) from our Base Exchange, and the wardrobe and bookshelf came from IKEA. Most people think we're in a shopper's dreamland here in Italy. Truth is, we're hard up to find anything decent. And when you do it's CRAZY expensive because of the horrible exchange rate. So creativity is the name of the game!

Unfortunately, we have limited space, so she's having to share her room with the office. But that's ok, we'll make do while we're here, and she can have her very own room when we return to the states. :)

Funny story about the canopy netting. Those of you who know Ramiro well, know that he can not stand the mosquito...he calls it the devil's bug. Anyway, we saw this netting at IKEA and he HAD to have it. The thought of a mosquito getting into Kyndall's room and biting her just sends him over the edge...lol. I can't say that I blame him, and I think it turned out pretty cute. Ok, so here's a few pics from "her" side of the room...lol. ;-)

A lot of people have told me that changing tables are a waste of money. But we're happy to get any additional storage space we can find. Plus, I like the idea of having a "designated" changing area.

Cramped for space...hence her little swing being about as big as her bouncy seat!

Precious... ;-)

Spring Lawn...

I love this time of year. Beautiful weather and beautiful scenery. Preparing my lawn for spring is one of my favorite things to do...totally makes my day! There's nothing better than pulling up to your home, or looking out the window, and having gorgeous color from the flowers. Picking them out, planting, placing...it's so fun. And I'm one of those girls that DOES NOT use gloves...gotta feel the dirt in my hands! Thought I'd post a few pics from this year's lawn. Ahhh....it's spring. ;-)

I did Spider Geraniums this year. Last year's Petunias were WAY too high maintenance. Pruning and watering every day was exhausting, and then they pooped out on me in July...couldn't take the heat...literally.

My sweet, sweet colleagues at work had a baby shower for me today. I thought the cake was super cute, so I've posted a pic.

Before the baby showers, we literally had 3 onesies, 2 sleepers, and an outfit for Kyndall. So I wanted to show you what her laundry basket looks like now. And this is just 0-3 month clothes, blankets, washcloths, etc. All her 3+ month clothes are already put away in bins. SO, SO blessed to have such generous and kind people in our lives!!!

Better go get started on that laundry! ;-)
