Out of Control...

You've heard me mention that Kyndall's hair is out of control. Well, it's true. It's super fluffy on top...like a pastry...lol. :) The rest is flat with an occasional curl or two. It's gotten long enough that I can put a little bow on top to keep it half-way down. She really is adorable with her bows, and she doesn't seem to mind them at all.

So the first pic is her with a little pink bow today. We were on our way out to have lunch with Daddy. The others are her in the bath tonight. I took out her bow, and I kid you not, her hair went every which way. Ramiro and I laughed and laughed...she's so stinkin' cute! Love her to pieces!!! ;-)

Quick update...

Let's see, Kyndall will be 10 weeks tomorrow, and I seriously don't know where the time has gone. Seems like yesterday I was in the delivery room. (little tear) Here are some things she's doing right now:

  • Smiles constantly...unless she's hungry or tired.
  • She coos and vocalizes...especially when she's excited.
  • She has decent control of her neck and is able to hold up her head w/ minimal bobbling.
  • She's a great little traveler and always falls asleep in her car seat.
  • Still only takes 4 ounces at a time...sometimes 5 before bedtime...and she takes anywhere from 15-45 minutes to finish a bottle. I think we have a little prissy eater on our hands!
  • Regularly puts herself to sleep (thank goodness) between 8pm and 9pm every night after bath time. (Mommy still rocks her before bed...I LOVE that time with her.) ;-)
  • Typically will sleep for 6-7 hours at night before waking to eat...and then goes right back to sleep...woohoo!
  • Tummy time is always a battle b/c she immediately rolls to her back. Daddy is officially in charge of this daily routine, and he calls it "Peanut Butter Belly Time". And yes, there's a song....lucky me...lol!
  • Her hair is out of control, and the top always looks like a fluffy croissant! I am able to put little bows in it now, which is so so adorable. :)
  • She loves Baby Einstein, which we try to make time for every day. Ramiro is convinced this will plow her road to med school...lol!
  • She likes being read to after bedtime and her lullaby CD while we're rocking.
All in all, she's so easy and so so sweet. We thank God every day for giving us such a precious gift....she's completely wrapped around our hearts. ;-)

Kyndall's Godmother made this video from pics she took while in Indiana. I knew she was a fantastic photographer, but clearly she's got a knack for videography as well. :) We LOVE it so much...I still cry every time I watch it. Thanks Dani!!!
(Edited version including Ramiro soon to come. ;-))

*Be sure to turn on your speakers...don't want to miss the music. ;-)

Kyndall woke up EARLY the other day while I was getting ready for work, so I just put her in bed with Ramiro. (I know, I know...don't make that a habit...lol. ) The first pic is what a found a moment later when I walked back in the room...sleeping nose to nose....so precious. ;-) The other pic is Kyndall on her way to her first Father's Day brunch with Daddy. I know, I know...Ramiro should have been in the pic too. I'm such a rookie!

HAPPY BELATED FATHER'S DAY to all you Dads out there!!!

8 Weeks Already????

Kyndall had her 2 month well baby check on Friday. TWO MONTHS! Seriously, where has the time gone??? She's met and/or exceeded all developmental milestones...yeah! Her official stats were:

weight = 9lbs 15oz (50%ile)
length = 22in (60%ile)
head circumference = 38cm (50%ile)

These pics were all taken this morning. (with the exception of the first one) She's typically all smiles in the morning, but clearly she wasn't in the mood for the paparazzi today...lol. I'll try to get some smile pics up soon. ;-)

Good Morning!

Kyndall is most expressive in the morning. I can't believe how quickly she's growing...it's so amazing to watch her do new things each and every day. Here's a clip of what I get to look forward to every morning. It's so worth waking up at 6am to see her little face. :) (And for those of you who know me well, know that's not an easy task!)
