Exersaucer....

Yeah! Kyndall can touch the ground in her Exersaucer! We knew she would love it, but she just hasn't been quite big enough for it. We still had to give her a little extra padding around her seat, and she doesn't know how to rotate of course, but she LOVED sitting up and being able to look around at all the little toys. She's a busy little girl! We'll definitely have our work cut out for us when she starts crawling and walking...yikes!

Little toes touching just enough to push herself up in the chair.

She was so excited...she didn't know what to do first!

The little piano plays music, and there were lights flashing from key to key. She can be so intense with her toys and books....makes you wonder what her little mind is thinking.

Random...

She was trying to grab the hair on Rome's arm...funny. ;-)

Kyndall HATES tummy time. We have to be right down in front of her, and even then she'll only tolerate it for a short time. Tummy time is a big challenge in this house!

We really need to get a highchair!

Reading books with Daddy before bed.

3 months....wow!

What Kyndall is doing at 3 months...

  • The belly laughs have just begun! I've been blowing on Kyndall's belly every evening after her bath for weeks, just waiting for that belly laugh. Until now, I'd get nothing from her...just a look of "what are you doing lady?" Well, don't you know Ramiro was playing with her tonight and got her first belly laugh...go figure! He called me in to hear it, while he made her giggle over and over....so precious....by far the best sound I've ever heard in my entire life. (until she says momma...lol.)
  • Reaching for toys with a "raking" motion. She'll hold them for quite a long time, and they go straight to her mouth for gumming of course.
  • Sitting up in her "Boppy" for play time....head control is very good.
  • Coos, squeals, and vocalizes with varied intonation.
  • Blows bubbles constantly and drools constantly....I swear she's starting to teeth. And more recently she's figured out her tongue, so it's always out and moving about.
  • LOVES to watch and listen to books....especially the brightly colored ones of course.
  • LOVES music....all kinds....hers, mommy's, and daddy's!
  • She's a wiggle worm....always on the go. I think we're in trouble when she becomes mobile!
  • Is tolerating tummy time better, but has to be wedged with a crescent pillow, or she rolls over immediately.
  • Has switched to the "fast" nipple, which has cut our feeding time significantly. A 5 ounce bottle that used to take 30-40 minutes, now takes 6 minutes!
  • Is now taking 5 ounces at every feeding, every 3 1/2 - 4 hours.
  • Generally sleeps 7-8 hours at night before waking to eat, and continues to sleep for a grand total of 10-11 hours each night.
  • Cat naps during the day for 15-30 minutes here and there. I wish I could just get her to take 1 or 2 long naps instead...in time.
  • Watches and observes everything around her. She's so interested in what's going on in this world!
  • Definitely knows mommy and daddy, and gives the biggest smiles all the time. ;-)

Dinner at our favorite pizza joint Artungna, with our dear friends Troy, Mary, and Kayla.

Kyndall's just now starting to get upset if I pass her to other people....isn't she too young for that????? Look at that little face....just pitiful. :(

Mary and silly Troy.

Sweet Kayla.

Kayla took this picture of the bell tower in the square where we were eating.

BUMBO!!!

Big girl Kyndall in her BUMBO...thank you Jarrett, Jennifer, Ella, and Evan! ;-)

This is her new thing...arching her back and flopping around like a fish. She does it in the bathtub too while laying on her cushion. I need to find something that will sit her up while bathing, b/c she's about to flop herself into the water!

p.s. To all of you (you know who you are...lol) who have suggested that I simply comb down her hair after her bath....this is the result. As you can see, it does NOT lay flat. Parting it on the side only makes it look like a puffy pastry on the side, and a little Conan O'Brien-ish. So, as her mother, I will continue with the "hawk" or bow on top, until it is long enough to lay down. Ok, enough said....I'm off the soap box....lol.

Tour de France...

Ramiro's Uncle Mike is a huge biking enthusiast, so traveling to France to see a leg of Tour de France was an absolute must during his visit. We stayed in Torino, Italy for two nights and drove into Saint Jean de Maurienne, France for the actual leg. (FYI...Torino, Italy is nothing to write home about.) Saint Jean de Maurienne is nestled within the Alps of the southeast region of France. The drive was breathtaking, and the scenic villages and mountain views were gorgeous. We drove in early on the morning of the leg, and "set up camp" along the route. We waited approximately 6 hours for Lance Armstrong and his fellow cyclists to fly by....exciting!!! Kyndall can officially say that she's been in three countries and experienced Tour de France before she was three months old! Soon to be four countries...we're headed to Slovenia this weekend. ;-) Here are few pics from the day....

Kyndall and Daddy at the hotel in Torino...my new favorite pic. ;-)

Ready for France...looking like a big girl sitting up in her stroller.

Our "camp" at Saint Jean de Maurienne.

Setting up roadside...getting closer!

Still waiting....

and waiting...

Caravanning....half an hour of blaring music and free goodies!

Finally....here they come!

I know you can't see his face, but I'm pretty sure that's Lance Armstrong....#21 with Radio Shack. We have him on video riding by and he looked over at Yolanda when she screamed his name. ;-)

More groups...good times.

Kyndall's Baptism...

Kyndall received her first sacrament....Baptism!

Ramiro's Uncle Mike and his wife Yolanda just happen to be here visiting. Mike is Kyndall's Godfather, so it worked out perfectly that he was here. My dear friend (more like my little sister) Danielle Reed is Kyndall's Godmother, and since traveling to Italy is no easy task, Yolanda was her stand-in. Father Kaim performed the ceremony, and he was fantastic. He has water from the River Jordan, so Kyndall was actually baptized with the water that Jesus was baptized in....how cool is that??? Godfather Mike and Tia Yolanda bought her a baby rosary from their trip to the Vatican, so Father blessed it before the ceremony and had we had that with her as well. A small group of dear friends came to witness the ceremony, and it could not have gone more smoothly.

Here are a few pics from her amazing day!!!
