Surgery #2

As most of you know, Ramiro and I have been trying to have a baby for some time now. Unfortunately, my reproductive system has not been very cooperative! I had surgery two years ago to try and remedy my problem, but one more surgery was needed to optimize our chances of conceiving in the future. Vanity, after all, is one of the deadly sins....so I'm not too proud to post these not-so-flattering pics! Pay close attention to how happy I look to be there. Two years ago I was TERRIFIED of going under for surgery. As you can see, I wasn't so nervous this time....I now know the miracle of medicine! As soon as my IV was in, I politely asked for what I call my "cocktail". My anesthesiologist graciously complied....no worries after that. :)

My friend Connie was there for support....she asked for a cocktail too....she didn't get hers. :(

I realize Rome looks like he's had more than a few cocktails, but he's just waiting for me to get out of surgery. He looks like a worried husband, doesn't he?


All joking aside, my surgery went well and my recovery has been smooth sailing thus far. I feel good and expect to be out and about very soon. :)
